New York Bakery

New York Bakery

The other day I had the pleasure of taking some pictures of the bakery around the corner from me and talking with the owner, Steve. Steve’s father started the bakery in the 1940’s and has worked there his entire life and now proudly carries on the family business.

Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon

I just uploaded a bunch of snapshots to my Flickr page from my trip to the Grand Canyon. I had borrowed a friends cheapo point and shoot camera for the trip because my camera was broken at the time. I’m saving up for a nice DSLR and I would love to revisit the Grand Canyon. Its the most incredible, breathtaking landscape of natural beauty on earth. Then again, one day I hope to visit the Cliffs of Moher and I’m sure I’ll be saying the same thing about that place!

New photography book

The book I ordered from half.com arrived today. The Photographer’s Eye: Composition and Design for Better Digital Photos by Michael Freeman. Can’t wait to dive into it. If its as good as all the reviews, I won’t be disappointed. Which brings me to what this blog is all about. Its about anything I feel like writing about! But mostly photography, my deep longtime passion. I want to share my journey as I try to reach some kind of harmony in my passions, work and life.

Gotta begin somewhere

Gotta begin somewhere

This is my brand new first ever blog. Been working on it for a while and I think its about time to go “live”. And I’ll start off with Miles. He’s a Boston Terrier who belongs to my brother. As I come up with more profane thoughts and comments, I’ll post ‘em here! Subscribe to my feed and join the journey. Thanks!
